Recently I was talking with an old friend, who was originally part of my direct sales business, way back in the day.
Not just part of it, but a major one.
She did quite a bit of recruiting and selling at the time.
After I left that business, we didn’t keep in touch for a few years. Until she got involved with a new company, and reached out to me, asking my thoughts about their comp plan, etc…
Here’s exactly what I told her.
“Compensation plan, the override structure, bonuses… do not matter. I’m sure it’s all good.
What’s more important…
Are you excited about the product, and is it something you believe in and are passionate about sharing with others?”
Checked that one off.
“With that out of the way, here’s the most important thing I can tell you.
YOUR success, is not going to depend on the product, the compensation plan, the testimonials and the scientific evidence the company provides why THIS product is superior to others.
All that is nice, and sure it’s important, but that’s NOT what your ability to build a wildly success business will hinge on.
It’s all in the marketing.
Because the product will not sell itself.
And without marketing people aren’t just going to seek you out and ask to join your team.
But if you can effectively market yourself and your business, you will NEVER run out of quality leads to recruit and sell your product to.”
Now you have to understand…
She, just like I used to be, is very much an “old school”, recruit them face to face type of a person.
But you know what… it doesn’t matter online.
Because you don’t need to have the “gift of gab” to build a thriving business.
And even if you posses this ability… you can still build a much more solid business and without all the headaches and frustrations of dealing with people that aren’t interested…
… simply by using attraction marketing.
She said… “what do I need to do, just tell me and I’ll do it.”
So I pointed her to THIS and told her start right there.
If you were to ask me how to get a LOT more and BETTER quality prospects, and rapidly grow your business… I’d tell you to do the exact same thing… go check this out.
